Kimberly Lyons

Kimberly Lyons is currently Vice President in the Product Management and Strategy group at Moody’s Ratings focusing on the development and enhancement of our Digital Ratings & Assessment product suite. Prior to her current role Kimberly was a public finance analyst with multiple roles across the industry, including Bond Insurance, Credit Analysis and Municipal Credit Risk. Most recently she was a Vice President-Senior Analyst in the Moody’s -US Public Finance Group.


In addition to her professional role, she serves on the board of Northeast Women in Public Finance (NEWPF), which provides mentoring, career development, educational and networking opportunities for women in the public finance industry, and is an adjunct professor at NYU’s Wagner School.


Kimberly was recently honored with the Excellence in Leadership Award from NEWPF and the Bond Buyer. She was also a past recipient of the “40 under Forty” Achievement Award, presented by The Network Journal (TNJ); the Bond Buyer’s Rising Star Honor; the “Distinguished Young Alumna” from her Alma Mater Rockefeller College of Public Affairs and Policy (University at Albany), and served on the Rockefeller College of Public Affairs Alumni Advisory Board.


Kimberly graduated from the University at Albany – State University of New York with a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and received a Master’s in Public Administration -Public Finance from the University at Albany Rockefeller College of Public Affairs and Policy.
