Lauren Pete

Dr. Pete received her doctorate from the City University Graduate Center C.U.N.Y. in 1985. She received her Juris Doctor from the Benjamin Cardozo School of Law, Yeshiva University in 1979. She is currently the Chairperson for the Health Administration Department/Health Care Management Graduate Program at St Joseph’s University, Brooklyn New York. Dr. Pete has taught at New York University, School of Professional Studies, Division of Applied Undergraduate Studies, Professional Programs since 1986. Dr. Pete currently maintains affiliations with the New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation and NYU. She currently has professional and working relationships with: the Health Care Finance Management Association; Women in Health Care Management; American College of Health Care Executives; and New York Citizen’s Committee on Health Care Decisions. Over the past 30 years she has worked and held senior executive positions with hospitals affiliated with New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation, national insurance companies, and New York City long term care facilities.
