Lisa Blake is a seasoned emergency management professional with over 13 years of experience at the intersection of hazard mitigation, communication, and urban planning. She is a Senior Specialist in Emergency Preparedness, Business Resiliency at Con Edison, where she focuses on business resiliency and all-hazard planning. Prior to this, she was a consultant supporting FEMA Region II and concentrated on hazard mitigation communication, strategy, and public outreach projects.
Lisa has also held positions as Deputy Director of Hazard Planning and Preparedness at NYC Emergency Management, served as Planning Section Chief in NYC’s Emergency Operations Center, and worked at the NYC Department of City Planning in their environmental review division.
Lisa holds a master’s degree in Urban Planning from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation, and a bachelor’s degree in Natural Resources from Cornell University. She is a Truman National Security Fellow, an Urban Design Forum Fellow, and a Certified Emergency Manager.
