Maurice "Mark" Moffett is a Senior Lecturer of Health Administration at NYU’s Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service. He is also a Health Economist whose research uses Health Services Research as the foundation for Health Policy development and evaluation. His research has been funded by the National Institutes of Health, the Agency for Health Care Quality and Research, the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services, the National Science Foundation, the Department of Veterans Affairs, various foundations and state contracts.
Moffett was previously a faculty member at the University of New Mexico, West Virginia University, and the Baylor College of Medicine. He is a Health Economist at Advanta Government Services and was a Senior Economist at the National Council on Compensation Insurance, a Research Economist at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center, a Labor Economist in the New Mexico Department of Labor, and a Senior Fellow with the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Center for Health Policy at the University of New Mexico.
Moffett received a B.S.B.A. in Business Economics from Northern Arizona University and a PhD in Economics from the University of New Mexico.
