Sugeni Pérez-Sadler, Ed.D,. is a social impact leader with over 20 years of experience across education, government, and nonprofit sectors driving systems change and advancing educational and workplace equity through data-driven performance management and youth development initiatives.
In her role as Senior Director of Pathways Policy for the New York City Public Schools, Sugeni provides strategic leadership in the development and execution of initiatives supporting over 300,000 high school students. She spearheads efforts to ensure students graduate with real-world skills, experience, and a strong plan to pursue postsecondary education and rewarding careers.
Previously, at Barnard College of Columbia University, Sugeni served as Associate Director of Admissions and Coordinator of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. She leveraged data analytics to lead recruitment strategies that increased access and representation of historically-excluded students in higher education. She has also held leadership roles with New Visions for Public Schools, where she coached school leaders in strategic planning and designed professional development programs focused on college and career readiness that boosted postsecondary outcomes.
Sugeni lends her expertise through volunteer leadership roles with The BLEND, an employee resource group cultivating career growth for Black and Latino school district employees. She also serves on the Board of Directors for a nonprofit focused on community development.
Sugeni holds a Doctorate in Education (Ed.D.) in Administration and Supervision from St. John’s University. She also earned dual Master's degrees in Public Affairs and Urban Planning from Princeton University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Barnard College of Columbia University.
