Veronica Manning is an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Public Service at NYU’s Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service.
Veronica is an experienced nonprofit executive, consultant, and facilitator. She has led multiple organizations focused on justice, systemic change, and empowering marginalized communities. Veronica brings a deep background in operations, strategic planning, and culture-building, with a proven track record of overhauling finance and budgeting systems, establishing HR departments, developing inclusive fundraising strategies, and fostering leadership cultures rooted in equity.
Veronica has recently served as the Associate Director at Health Justice Commons, a trans- and disability-led organization focused on justice in public health, where she had a hand in shaping operations, human resources, and strategic growth. Previously, she served as Interim Managing Director at the CJI Fund, a fiscally-sponsored program that supported grassroots anti-incarceration activism. Veronica has also consulted for Dual School, a nonprofit that helps students launch social impact passion projects using design thinking. In that role, she facilitated youth programming, guided strategic planning efforts, and helped the organization navigate board transitions and succession planning.
In her spare time, Veronica is a writer and performer. She wrote, produced, and starred in a solo play which had its world premiere at the Montreal Fringe Festival in 2025.
Veronica holds a B.A. in Organizational Behavior & Communication from NYU-SPS, and an M.P.A. in Public & Nonprofit Management & Policy from NYU Wagner.
