Violet Organization is a Syria-based humanitarian organization that supports the most vulnerable communities affected by violence in Syria. Since the fall of the Assad regime in 2024, political dynamics within Syria have shifted, and traditional nonprofit funding streams have become increasingly uncertain amid the closure of USAID and the shifting of U.S. federal funding priorities.

The Capstone team developed a Resource Development Guide outlining a U.S.-focused fundraising and advocacy strategy. The project concentrated on two areas: evaluating Violet’s social media presence and providing recommendations to strengthen digital engagement with American audiences and conducting a cross-sector stakeholder analysis to identify and prioritize prospective funders, diaspora networks, and philanthropic institutions. The final guide delivers a comprehensive toolkit that includes messaging frameworks tailored to U.S. audiences, platform-specific social media strategies, and a targeted stakeholder engagement roadmap aimed to build greater U.S. exposure for the organization in an evolving political and funding landscape.
