Opening of City Planning in Argentina to the English Speaking World
The Strategic Plan for the City of Buenos Aires (the Strategic Plan) is a shared vision of the future of the city developed with the participation of groups from the public, private and Non-Governmental sectors of society. With the cooperation of these groups, the Strategic Plan is designed to do several things, such as diagnose and evaluate the citys current situation, and to act on that diagnosis to forecast future scenarios. The Strategic Plan (and the various groups it comprises) must also develop appropriate projects and programs to follow up these evaluations in order to ensure that Buenos Aires grows in the best way possible for its citizens well being. The Capstone consultant was asked to work with the Strategic Planning Office of Buenos Aires to update and translate their current web site into English, and to expand it to reach out to Municipal Planning Offices around the world through web links and communication. The Capstone consultant also encouraged a more global perspective on both the Spanish and English web sites.
