The resident has been involved in a major planning process aimed at improving ambulatory care encounters. She was responsible for conducting the patient survey and performing correlational analysis. The resident also helped lead, and collected data from, internal focus groups. Based on the findings, seven workgroups were formed to identify measurable objectives. The resident is an active participant in these workgroups and is currently working on creating and beginning the implementation of a communication plan to familiarize patients, physicians, and staff with the initiative.
