Matías Labbé

Matías is an applied microeconomist and doctoral student at NYU-Wagner. His research interests lie broadly in development economics, with a focus on labor markets, urban economics, and poverty dynamics. Before starting his PhD, Matías worked as a researcher at TECHO and J-PAL LAC, as well as a consultant for public and private institutions in Chile. He has also taught courses in econometrics and policy evaluation at Universidad de Chile. Matías holds an MA in Economics from the Barcelona School of Economics and a BA in Economics from Universidad de Chile.
