Preksha is a doctoral student in Public Policy at NYU Wagner. Her research interests lie at the intersection of development economics and labor economics, particularly in the role that technology and digital platforms play in labor force participation and financial inclusion in developing countries.

 
Before embarking on her doctoral studies, she worked as an Economist at the World Bank’s Office of the Chief Economist for South Asia, focusing on informality, gender, and the digital economy. Prior to that, she conducted research on universal basic income, women's empowerment, and digital finance as a predoctoral fellow at MIT and Innovations for Poverty Action. 
 
She holds a master’s degree in International and Development Economics from Yale University and a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Delhi.
