Can I have my application fee waived?

You may be eligible for an application fee waiver if you meet one or more of the following criteria:

• Demonstrated Financial Hardship: Please indicate this within the application under the financial aid section.
• Service in the U.S. Armed Forces (active duty and veterans)
• NYU and NYU Langone employees
• NYU alumni and current NYU undergraduate students
• International Credential Evaluations: A fee waiver will be applied after your transcript evaluation report has been received and confirmed.
• Members/alumni of specific programs and affiliations, including:

  • CityYear
  • Teach for America
  • McNair Scholars
  • Truman Scholars
  • Bonner Scholars
  • Charles B. Rangel Fellows
  • Payne Fellows
  • Public Policy & International Affairs (PPIA)
  • Pickering Foreign Affairs Fellows
  • New York Police Department
  • Mercy Corps
  • VA NY Harbor Health
  • Lead for America

If you are a member or alum of an affiliated organization listed above, please select your affiliation within the "Wagner Community" section of the application.

Important Instructions:
You will be notified by the Admissions Office regarding the status of your application fee waiver request. Do not pay the application fee until you receive further instructions from the Admissions Office regarding your request. We cannot refund the application fee if you pay it before your waiver has been approved.
 
Your fee waiver request will be reviewed after your application is submitted. You will then be notified of a decision by e-mail.
