Graduates and degree candidates participating in the ceremonies are required to wear academic attire. Graduates can wear the same cap and gown for both NYU Wagner Convocation and NYU Commencement.

Students who will be completing their final degree requirements over the summer term are considered September graduation candidates. September graduation candidates completing up to two courses over the summer term may petition for a Dean's Exception to participate in the All-University Commencement and the NYU Wagner Convocation.

Since all students have received a previous degree, the tassel should be on your left. 

As a courtesy, professional photographs will be taken of each graduate and mailed to his/her permanent address approximately two weeks after graduation. After the ceremony, graduates may visit Island Photography’s website at www.islandphoto.com to instantly view and order graduation photos.

Guest Tickets for NYU Wagner Convocation can be requested online beginning mid-March. Eligible graduates can request up to four (4) guest tickets and apply for waitlist tickets. The venue's policy requires all guests to have a ticket, including infants and toddlers. Lap seating is not permitted without a ticket.

Dual-degree students are eligible to attend both of the individual school ceremonies and NYU Commencement. Students must be eligible and apply for graduation separately at both schools and apply for tickets separately from both schools.

Your diploma is mailed to your permanent addresses by the NYU Office of the University Registrar approximately eight weeks after the official conferral of the degree.
