NYU Wagner joins academic partnership to develop U.S. infrastructure solutions
NYU Wagner is among four graduate schools that are partnering to work to develop solutions to infrastructure challenges in America, especially as they relate to finance and delivery.
This new formal academic network was forged by The Bond Dealers of America (BDA). Dubbed "Innovations in Infrastructure," the partnership of graduate schools will alternate hosting semi-annual conferences focused on the nation’s infrastructure challenges, and will develop innovative solutions to these challenges in both finance and delivery. Partnering universities include The University of Chicago, Harris School of Public Policy, The University of North Carolina, School of Public Policy, The University of Texas, Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs, and New York University, Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service.
The BDA is a Washington, D.C.-headquartered trade association that provides focused congressional and financial-regulatory advocacy, meaningful political intelligence, and access to leading strategic consultants for securities dealers and banks engaged primarily in the U.S. fixed income markets.
The partnership will consist of semi-annual conferences centering on the nation’s infrastructure challenges. Participating universities will alternate as hosts and the kick-off event will be led by the University of Chicago, Harris School of Public Policy on April 27, 2023. These events will allow leaders from an array of industries to gather and share their insights across engineering, writing, tech, law, asset management, and governance. Furthermore, this partnership will allow universities to promote career opportunities in the US bond markets as well as advance DEI throughout the industry.
