Forbes also cited Abbey (MPA 2015) and his partner Samir Goel as “Social Entrepreneurs." The pair created Esusu, a finance app that helps users gain credit for meeting their monthly rent payments, a benefit usually reserved for homeowners. Esusu has served more than 30,000 people, saving them an estimated $20 million in interest.

Rounding out the trio of NYU Wagner's 30-under-30 honorees, in "Education," is alumna Rebecca Fleischman (MPA 2017), who has worked wonders as Associate Director of the Child Mind Institute, a nonprofit dedicated to improving children's mental health. A former teacher, Fleischman has driven a more-than 425-percent growth in direct beneficiaries of learning disorder and mental health training and intervention, touching more than 200 schools and community partners in four cities.

NYU Wagner heartily congratulates Kyleigh Russ, Wemimo Abbey, and Rebecca Fleischman -- they're all doing NYU Wagner proud!
