New England Journal of Medicine

The positions of President-elect Donald Trump’s nominee for Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS) Tom Price represent a sharp philosophical departure from his predecessors, write NYU Wagner Dean and Professor of Public Service Sherry Glied and Harvard Professor of Health Economics Richard Frank in an article published in the New England Journal of  Medicine.

In view of the nominee’s policy proposals and votes as a Georgia representative, the authors write, “Price’s record demonstrates less concern for the sick, the poor, and the health of the public and much greater concern for the economic well-being of their physician caregivers.”
