Over 200 Participate in 4th Annual Day of Service

On Saturday, April 16, over 200 students, staff, faculty, and alumni from the NYU Wagner community joined together in a city-wide day of service. Participants served 16 different organizations throughout NYC, providing nearly 800  hours of service throughout all five boroughs.

 

Service projects included tutoring middle school students at The East Harlem School; beautifying the subway in Manhattan and Queens with 7Train Murals; and cultivating an urban garden with Harlem Grown. Other project sites included NYC Parks, City Harvest, Bowery Mission, The Fortune Society, New York City Campaign Finance Board, Father’s Heart Ministry, Chinatown Partnership, New Women New York, Food Bank for New York City, Curb Your Litter, Association to Benefit Children, La Plaza Cultural, and Brooklyn Community Services.
