Sarah Strochak (PhD 2025) Recognized by APPAM for Dissertation


Sarah Strochak (PhD 2025) received an honorable mention from the Association for Public Policy Analysis & Management (APPAM) for her dissertation on the Housing Choice Voucher program. 

APPAM issues an annual PhD Dissertation Award to recognize emerging scholars in public policy. Strochak was one of two PHD students to receive an honorable mention for the 2025 award. 

In her paper Essays on the Housing Choice Voucher Program, Strochak used novel data to measure program take-up and study outcomes for program participants. During her time at NYU Wagner she also served as a doctoral fellow at the NYU Furman Center for Real Estate and Urban Policy.
