Three NYU Wagner Community Members Named Influential Leaders of Westchester on City & State List

As the home of several top state politicians and Fortune 500 companies, Westchester County is an influential player in New York state’s economy and politics. The City & State 2025 Westchester Power 100 recognizes the county’s leaders, including three Wagner community members.
George Latimer (MPA 1976), member of Congress
Rep. Latimer represents southern Westchester in Congress. The former Westchester County Executive won a hotly contested Democratic primary in 2024 against incumbent Rep. Jamaal Bowman. He serves on the House Foreign Affairs and Small Business committees, and has helped businesses secure government contracts and
recovered $1.76 million in Social Security payments and tax returns for his district.
Steve Otis (MPA 1982), New York State Assembly Member
Assembly Member Otis represents Westchester communities in the New York State Assembly and serves as Chair of the Assembly Science and Technology Committee. He’s led efforts to regulate artificial intelligence in New York, passing legislation regarding the use of AI by state agencies. This year, he advanced legislation to create a county EMS planning process.
Seth Diamond (Adjunct Professor), CEO of Westchester Jewish Community Services
Diamond leads Westchester Jewish Community Services in providing mental health and support services in Mount Vernon, Yonkers, and Peekskill and upholding the organization’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. He’s received state grants for providing health and social services to Holocaust survivors, improving public access to technology, and renovating community residences.
