Two Wagner Students Named to APPAM Student Leader Positions

Two NYU Wagner doctoral candidates have been named to student leadership positions within The Association for Public Policy Analysis & Management (APPAM), the premier professional association for the public policy research community. Outstanding student members have the opportunity to participate in APPAM’s organizational leadership through one of its coveted Student Leader positions.
Grace Brang (PhD 2028) was selected to serve as a data analyst, a new position on the Policy Council. The Policy Council is APPAM’s main governing body, and members are responsible for setting and executing the organization's agenda. Brang’s doctoral research centers around public finance and retirement policy.
Elizabeth Lochhead (PhD 2028) was selected as a member of the Student Activities Committee (SAC), which is responsible for promoting representation and professional development opportunities for students in APPAM. SAC is made up of seven student members, and also oversees student activities at the Annual Fall Research Conference. Lochhead’s doctoral research interests lie in urban economics and housing policy.
