Wagner Student Bryan Matthew Recognized for Leadership by NFBPA
NYU Wagner’s Bryan Matthew (MPA 2025), a current student in the MPA in Public & Nonprofit Management and Policy program has been honored as one of this year's distinguished scholarship recipients by the National Forum for Black Public Administrators (NFBPA). NFBPA, an independent nonprofit, is dedicated to the advancement of black public leadership in local and state governments.
This prestigious award not only recognizes Matthew's outstanding academic and extracurricular achievements, but also provides him with scholarship funding. As part of the honor, Matthew is invited to attend the NFBPA's national conference set to take place in April 2024, offering him a unique opportunity to engage with and learn from leading professionals in the field of public administration.
In addition to his academic pursuits, Matthew serves as the Vice Chair of Wagner's Black Student Association (BSA), where he plays a critical role in fostering community and support among Black students on campus. His commitment to public service and community engagement is further evidenced by his previous tenure as an AmeriCorps VISTA volunteer, where he dedicated his efforts to addressing poverty across America.
