What were your takeaways from this conference/case competition?
The Annual Legislative Conference held by the Congressional Black Caucus was an amazing presentation on various policy topics affecting people of color. I was able to join some think tank sessions with Google to come up with ideas and solutions to address housing and technology gaps.

How will your participation in this conference/case competition support your professional development?
I networked with several other young policy leaders from different schools across the country, and even saw some NYU current students and alumni. It was also wonderful to have my first introduction to Assemblyman Michael Blake who is an NYU Visiting Fellow, who I met while attending his session on urban policy issues.

What are some next steps or action items this conference/case competition inspired?
Following the conference Michael Blake agreed to participate in my student organization's (WPA) event on affordable housing.
