NYU Wagner Convocation for the Class of 2026

NYU Wagner hosts a Convocation ceremony just for the Wagner Class of 2026 and their guests. Graduates will be individually recognized and will cross the stage at NYU Wagner Convocation. Additionally, NYU hosts All-University Commencement Exercises for the Class of 2026.

  1. Apply to graduate in Albert by February 15.
  2. Receive and read your invitation for NYU Wagner Convocation via email. (Tuesday, March 10, 2026)
  3. Complete the Convocation ticket request form for you and your guests to attend NYU Wagner’s Convocation. Deadline: Tuesday, March 31, 2026
  4. Record your name in Albert. From your Albert Student Center go to the personal information section. Click on “Name Recording”. Here are the full instructions. Deadline: Friday, April 3, 2026.
  5. Order Academic Attire. (From March 9 through April 3, 2026)
  6. Check your NYU NetID email address for information about NYU’s All-University Commencement. Eligible candidates should receive this email prior to Spring Break.

  7. You may pick up your NYU Wagner Convocation ticket(s) at the NYU Box Office from Wednesday, April 29–Wednesday, May 13, 2026, during their regular box office hours. Please see location and hours of operation below.

  8. Pick up Academic Attire with your NYU ID at the  Eisner and Lubin Auditorium at the Kimmel Center. The pick up deadlines and important details can be found on the NYU Academic Attire website. 

The graduate must arrive at City Center promptly at 1:00pm for the ceremony briefing and rehearsal. Only graduates may arrive at this time. Graduates do not need a ticket, but you must be wearing your academic attire to enter City Center. Please bring your NYU ID.

PLEASE NOTE that once you enter City Center, you will not be allowed to leave the venue until the end of the ceremony.

  • Do not bring anything with you except your academic attire.
     
  • If you do bring a bag, it must be a small one that can be carried with you on stage. All bags will be searched.

Guests may enter the venue at 2:00pm. Every guest must have a ticket. Children aged 2 and younger do not need a ticket if they will be sitting on an adult’s lap for the entire ceremony. 

Guests who require special access are permitted to enter at 1:45pm with ONE individual accompanying them. Both individuals must have tickets. Please visit City Center’s website for instructions on ADA entrance and information on accessibility.

  • There is no coat or package check available. All bags will be searched. 
     
  • City Center strictly prohibits balloons, signs, or any sight-disrupting items.
     
  • City Center will designate a stroller storage area. Strollers may not be brought into the theater. 

Street parking is available but often full nearby.

NYU Wagner Convocation Open House Reception

Join us for a joyous celebration honoring the Class of 2026! We invite you, along with your family, friends, classmates, and Wagner faculty and staff, to be part of the Convocation Open House Reception. Graduates are kindly asked to register themselves and their guests for this special occasion. Please note that outside guests must be accompanied by a Wagner graduate to gain entry to the event.

This event is for NYU Wagner's Class of 2026, their invited guests, Wagner faculty and staff. You must have an NYU email address to register. Graduates you must enter the names of your guests when you register for tickets.

NYU All-University Commencement

NYU All-University Commencement, which recognizes the Class of 2026 graduates from all NYU New York City campus schools, will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx. 

Grad Alley

Grad Alley is an annual outdoor celebration held the day before Commencement to mark the accomplishments of the graduating class. The Class of 2026 and their guests are invited to this outdoor celebration on Wednesday, May 13, located on the streets around Washington Square from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. 

Admission to Grad Alley is by wristband. Each candidate for graduation will be able to request up to three (3) wristbands total, one (1) for themselves and two (2) guest wristbands. Wristband distribution details will be added once confirmed. Visit the Grad Alley page to learn about the admissions process.
