Alumni In Action - Public Service Spotlight

Satish Chandra (MS '01) Dr. Satish Chandra is the Business Process Reengineering Advisor, Ministry of Mines, Government of Afghanistan.  Throughout his career, he has held various high-level positions from New York City to New Delhi, India to Kabul, Afghanistan.

"I have steered at senior level medium to large business units and demonstrated significant accomplishments. All these attributes led to my continued engagement in public service."  Read more about Satish.

Contribute to the Alumni Scholarship Fund!

The Wagner Alumni Scholarship Fund is a great way to support deserving students in their studies at Wagner. Students receiving alumni scholarships must be nominated by a Wagner grad and are eligible to receive 50% tuition support. You can donate to the fund by making an online contribution today!  If you wish to nominate a prospective student for a scholarship, contact wagner.alumni@nyu.edu.

Did You Know...?

Upates from fellow Wagnerites!

Angela Aloia (MPA '11) recently accepted a position at U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) as a Presidential Management Fellow.

Christopher Banoub (MPA '11) accepted the role of Operations Manager at Winthrop Pediatric Associates, P.C., one of the largest multi-subspecialty ambulatory care practices on Long Island, NY in December 2010. The practice, affiliated with U.S. News & World-ranked Winthrop-University Hospital, houses eight different pediatric subspecialties and sees 35,000 patient visits every year. In this position, Christopher will be overseeing 65 staff members of varying professional and support roles. Check out the website for more info.

Hallie Caplan (MPA '10) is now the Director of Operations at Families for Excellent Schools.

Kate Ryan (MPA '09) has had an abstract and presentation accepted by the American Public Health Association (APHA). Kate will deliver her presentation at session 3176.0, Corporate Challenges to Women's Health on Monday, October 31, 2011 at 10:30am.

Rebecca A. Weinstock (MPA ' 10) is now a Senior Associate at THE ASSOCIATED: Jewish Community Federation of Baltimore. In her new roles, Rebecca will be overseeing two new initiatives - building a strategic partnership with the Ashkelon Volunteer Center and engaging Birthright Israel alumni in Baltimore.
