Is this program right for me?
The Nurse Leaders program is designed for bachelor's degree-prepared registered nurses who are either already in leadership and management roles or looking for advancement . Admission is based on a candidate's full profile including prior academic record, professional achievements, letters of reference, and a personal statement.
The program may be completed part-time over two academic years and will provide the highest level of service possible to students as they continue their professional work concurrent with their studies.
Academic Requirements and Curriculum
Students complete 36 credits consisting of four core courses (16 credits), four electives (16 credits), and a Capstone end event (4 credits).

Students will work with a faculty advisor to select 16 credits of elective coursework from NYU Wagner's offerings as well as the other Schools at New York University including the College of Nursing. Up to 8 credits may be taken outside of the Wagner School.

III. End Event
Working in teams and under the supervision of a NYU Wagner faculty member, students use an evidence-based approach to design and recommend management interventions to respond to organizational challenges and opportunities for a client organization in the health care field. The Capstone course is completed in two semesters during the student's final year in the program. Capstone teams are required to share their project results during a special end event which is open to the entire Wagner community.
