DEADLINES: All application materials are due by Noon EST on Friday, January 10, 2014. Incomplete and/or late applications will not be reviewed.
NOTIFICATION: We will notify all applicants of acceptance decisions by Friday, January 17, 2014. Notification of acceptance decisions and all subsequent announcements will be sent via the NYU email address that applicants provide in the application form. Applicants should be sure to check their NYU email account regularly over the winter break.
SESSION DATES: All applicants should reserve the following dates and times for the first semester of SSLD learning sessions. Fellows are expected to attend all learning sessions; our attendance policy is outlined in further detail on the FAQ page.
Session 1: Friday, February 14, 2014 - 3:00pm to 5:00pm
Session 2: Friday, March 14, 2014 - 3:00pm to 5:00pm
Session 3: Friday, April 18, 2014 - 3:00pm to 5:00pm
Session 4: Friday, May 2, 2014 - 3:00pm to 5:00pm
All sessions will take place on NYU's campus with exact locations to be announced. Session dates for the 2014-2015 academic year will be announced in February 2014.

Applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria:
Applicants must be enrolled in a master's level degree program at NYU and taking classes toward the completion of that degree. Students who ernoll in an NYU master's level program during the spring 2014 semester are eligible to apply provided that they meet all other requirements.
Applicants must maintain enrollment in an NYU master's program and remain in good academic standing during the entire fellowship cycle, from January 2014 to May 2015. To this end, applicants for this fellowship cycle must be scheduled to graduate in or after May 2015.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate a passion for public service through their stated interests; professional activities; academic studies; and or volunteer experience. An extensive background in public service work is not required.
We expect a range of applicants, and there is no specific age or experience limit. However, most Fellows will have 1-5 years of professional experience before enrolling in graduate school.
