MPA in Public & Nonprofit Management & Policy - 2015
Why did you choose Wagner for graduate school?
I chose Wagner because I could gain a graduate education through a combined NYU undergraduate-graduate dual degree program at the fraction of the cost of typical programs. I was also impressed by the fact that it coupled a practical graduate skillset with my more theoretical undergraduate Metropolitan Studies education.
How did being in New York impact your professional journey?
New York is an incredible classroom. It's not only the most vibrant, interesting city in the nation -- it's also a port town that allowed me to easily explore so many other important places in the world. You can't put a price tag on that!
Describe your current job.
I'm second-in-command at a 45-year-old grassroots nonprofit dedicated to preserving and improving the places that make our city great. It's a dream come true, and involves a healthy balance of supervision, strategic planning, communications, outreach, compliance, mentorship, policymaking, and special events.
