Why did you choose Wagner for graduate school?
The factor that ultimately tipped the scales in Wagner's favor was the school's proximity to numerous large nonprofits with nationwide reach. I wanted access to organizations that could drive policy innovation and I knew Wagner could help me with that.
How did your Wagner experience prepare you professionally for what you are doing today?
Wagner helped me become a generalist in the very best of ways; no matter what area of service I am working in, I feel confident that I have the tools to analyze the policy problem within its context, to problem solve creatively, and to propose a range of feasible solutions.
Describe your current job.
At NYC's Administration for Children's Services, I oversee data analytics across all the agency's divisions (investigations, preventive services, foster care services, and juvenile justice). This includes developing new performance measures, providing data insights that inform policy and operational decisions, and exploring the use of predictive models.
