Can you tell us a bit about your job responsibilities?
I ensure the timely movement on and completion of assorted department and organizational projects, such as the development and dissemination of reports and data dashboards, the implementation of new internal processes, and ongoing operation of time-limited committees and working groups. Some particular items I've been involved with include performance reports about our COVID-response shelters, dashboards for assorted program components such as our Tiny Homes and our Problem Solving team, and the launching of a data integrity team within our department.
How would you describe your experience as an NYU Wagner student?
I enjoyed it a lot. I thought the ability to meet folks through happy hours and student groups was very helpful for building a network and making friends. I think most of the classes I took helped me in some way, either through hard skills I now use in my position, or softer skills and ways of approaching problems that have been beneficial both in my work and life outside of it.
How did your experiences at NYU Wagner prepare you for your career?
I feel like what I learned about Excel-based and other analytical work at Wagner has been directly applicable to much of what I do on the job. I also feel like a lot of the classes I took that involved collaboration with other classmates and class presentations have been directly beneficial to my current work.
