Why did you choose Wagner for graduate school?

When looking at graduate schools, I knew I wanted to be in a program located in an urban environment where students and faculty are encouraged to engage with the city and use it as a learning tool. Many graduate schools are located within cities and the question for me was how the institution sees itself as part of the urban fabric.

How did being in New York impact your professional journey?

Being in New York has contributed immensely to my career. During my time at Wagner, I interned at City Hall working on Mayor Bloomberg’s Young Men’s Initiative. This opportunity allowed me to meet smart, thoughtful people who have been invaluable to my professional journey.

What are the advantages of the Wagner alumni network?

The Wagner network is vast with people in all aspects of public service from government to advocacy groups to community-based organizations to philanthropy. Many of my professional Wagner colleagues are also great friends.
