How would you describe your experience as an NYU Wagner student?
I had a positive experience. NYU Wagner helped me explore different perspectives and fields within the social justice space, and helped me to modify my personal theory of change for achieving equity.
How did your experiences at NYU Wagner prepare you for your career?
My experiences at NYU Wagner led me to realize that I wanted to shift the focus of my work from direct service organizations to policy. I had the opportunity to take an Advocacy Lab course in partnership with the Innocence Project. Helping to support the Innocence Project's criminal justice reform work was rewarding and a great learning experience and made me realize that I wanted to work to advance systemic change.
What impact do you hope to make through your career and/or organization?
I hope to advance racial justice and ensure that communities of color receive fair treatment, equitable opportunities, and equitable outcomes.
