Why did you choose NYU Wagner for graduate school?

I chose NYU Wagner because of the institution's unique public service mission which includes health as an area of impact. Wagner’s distinct perspective allowed me to study healthcare through the broad lens of public service. The Health Policy and Management specialty equipped me with the tools to cross boundaries and improve the quality of care.

Can you tell us a bit about your job responsibilities?

As a Healthcare Consultant in Performance Improvement at Huron, I'm working to generate revenue, reduce costs, and improve access to care across the healthcare continuum. As part of the Workforce Management team, I'm responsible for partnering with executives and front-line staff to develop and execute expense reduction strategies in health systems.

What were you doing before you came to NYU Wagner?

Before NYU Wagner, I served as a Project Lead in Patient Care Services at Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City. In this role, I collaborated with the Chief Nursing Officer to create and implement initiatives to advance clinical operations.

What impact do you hope to make through your career?

The healthcare discipline resides at the core of public service. In dedicating my life to improving the healthcare delivery system and committing to the public sector, I hope to inspire, impact, and drive change.
