Have you found any advantages to being a part of the NYU Wagner alumni network?
The network is strong in the city, making it easy to network. I also think the good brand name has been really helpful in opening doors for me in positions I may not have otherwise been able to access.
How did being in New York City impact your professional journey?
Being a student in NYC really accelerated my professional journey. I was able to find work at reputable organizations doing work I was interested in as a student, and I was able to network with people beyond the university, making me feel better connected when I started working and beyond.
Can you tell us a bit about your job responsibilities?
In my global career as a hybrid professional, I have combined my business acumen, personable professional demeanor, and industry-specific expertise to support or lead programs and initiatives for governments, companies, and NGOs in over a dozen countries. I currently focus on WASH (water, sanitation, and hygiene), environmental resource management, and global public health. Today, I leverage this diverse international experience as a consultant to improve operational performance, reporting, capacity, data management, and communications for projects and organizations.
I founded a social business that is becoming a thought leader in the social impact opportunities of sanitation and hygiene. FLUSH has two focuses: (1) increasing public awareness and knowledge about sanitation and hygiene through edutainment and (2) advising on improving internal management systems and business acumen in and around WASH.
