Why did you choose NYU Wagner for graduate school?

I chose Wagner because I wanted to advance my career and be the one helping develop policy and legislation, rather than simply working within the system that existed. Wagner had the perfect combination of practical experience and a commitment to social justice.

How did you find your first post-NYU Wagner job?

It was one of the best jobs I've ever had. I worked at Everytown for Gun Safety, working to advance gun violence prevention legislation. I started as an intern in my final year at Wagner, and worked there for three years after getting hired full-time.

Can you tell us a bit about your job responsibilities?

I am a speech writer for Treasurer Deborah Goldberg, while also providing her with strategic analysis in order to advance and lobby for her policy and legislative agendas.

I also conduct research and develop policy initiatives for all subsidiaries of Massachusetts Treasury, including: Office of Economic Empowerment, State Lottery, the Pension Fund, Massachusetts School Building Authority, Small Business Banking Partnership and Deferred Compensation.

Additionally, I build relationships with local, state, and federal elected officials in order to advance the Treasurer's agenda.
