How would you describe your experience as an NYU Wagner student?

My experience in NYU Wagner Tech (I was the chair in my second year) was key to exposing me to many topics I am working on now, such as fairness, privacy and transparency in the use of artificial intelligence.

How did your experiences at NYU Wagner prepare you for your career?

I have been using most of what I learned through my MPA in my new position. I co-founded and created GobLab from zero. The knowledge I acquired in finance, strategic planning, budgeting, and human resources management has been very useful. The courses I took in data science, design thinking and participatory policymaking have been key as there I learned several methodologies that my lab is using. The international networks I built at NYU have also been key to building partnerships for the lab.

Can you tell us a bit about your job responsibilities?

I am the executive director of GobLab UAI, the public innovation lab of the School of Government of Adolfo Ibáñez University. The lab has the mission to improve the public sector through data science.
