How did your experiences at NYU Wagner prepare you for your career?
I needed a transition to public policy and governance. One of the most invaluable experiences I had at NYU is that I was pushed to think critically. This, in turn, helped me develop analytical skills that I engage to this day in my daily work and doctorate program. Every time I write a briefing, a research paper, or a book, I often ask myself, "What would Professor Gershman or Professor Smoke say about this?"
How did being in New York City impact your professional journey?
I have a special "relationship" with New York City. It is the city in which I did my first jewelry exhibition prior to joining NYU. It is the city that changed my career trajectory. It was in New York that I started practicing in international affairs as a professional.
Can you tell us a bit about your job responsibilities?
I’m currently conducting research in government oversight and institutionalism.
