Why did you choose Wagner for graduate school?

I was coming to Wagner with considerable work experience and the program offered me flexibility and the most options at that point in time. I was able to curate the right academic experience from all the options available at NYU (and not just at Wagner). And being in New York City was a major plus as well.

How did being in New York impact your professional journey?

Wagner's emphasis on practice and not just academics was very helpful post-graduation. Being in NYC, I had easy access to great organizations working in the impact investing space and that made it a lot easier to develop my own network in the sector before I even graduated from Wagner.

Describe your current job.

I currently work as a Program Officer for the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation in their Delhi office. We're primarily a grant making organization, but we also provide debt and equity to socially focused for-profit organizations. My day to day involves working with some of the leading social change makers and entrepreneurs in India and helping them successfully achieve their goals.
