How did being in New York City impact your professional journey?

Specifically to emergency management, the proximity of organizations from federal, state, local, and private is amazing. You come in contact with so many individuals from all organizations. This really helps to develop your network.

Describe your current job.

I write and update emergency plans and policies for healthcare system, train leadership and staff on emergency policies, decontamination and HICS, and respond to all levels of hospital command center activation, coordinating with hospital leaders and community partners.

What impact do you hope to make through your career and/or organization? 

I hope to establish a culture of preparedness and develop a framework in the community and region that is able to mitigate, respond and recover for emergencies of any size.
