All About PER and CPT for International Students

Your odds of succeeding in the job market increase when you have relevant, meaningful professional experience in your chosen field of public service. To ensure you’re prepared for your post-graduate career, NYU Wagner requires all MPA and MUP students to fulfill the Professional Experience Requirement (PER). 

Join the Office of Career Services (OCS) for a review of the PER. Staff will provide an overview of how to satisfy the requirement and important considerations to keep in mind as you plan to fulfill the requirement prior to Capstone. 

The first half of the session will focus on general PER information and questions. The second half of the session will focus on CPT and work authorization details specific to international students on an F-1 and J-1 visa.
