The NYU Migration Network is pleased to celebrate the inaugural class of recipients of the Graduate Student Award for Summer Research on Migration. This virtual event will spotlight the innovative and interdisciplinary research that the five award recipients and five finalists completed this past summer. Their research is wide-ranging and cutting-edge, with projects that look at Jewish refugees in wartime Shanghai, immigrant housekeepers in New York, migration data infrastructures in Germany, return migrants to Central America, and many more. The recipients will give short presentations on their work. In addition, we will screen short films about several of the research projects, produced in collaboration with the Film and TV program at NYU Tisch School of the Arts.
