A City of the World

The NYU Migration Network invites you to its inaugural Public Conversation Series. Held monthly on select Thursdays over the semester, these public conversations bring together scholars, artists, and practitioners for cross-disciplinary exchanges to develop and refine understandings of migration and mobility, its histories, and its political stakes.  The Public Conversations open with a short reception for the speakers and the broader NYU community at 5pm. The conversation will follow at 6pm.

All public conversations will be held in the Rudin Forum at the Wagner School of Public Service (295 Lafayette Street, Second Floor, New York, NY 10012).

On Thursday, March 14, Phil Kasinitz (CUNY) and Marion Casey (NYU) will engage in conversation on migration to New York City from the mid-19th century to the present in a conversation entitled, "A City of the World."
