Presentation on The Real Cost Measure at United Way LA and Alumni Happy Hour at Barcito
Join fellow NYU Wagner Alumni on October 2nd for a presentation on The Real Cost Measure, United Way of California's statewide poverty report, which presents a more accurate picture of poverty compared to the official poverty measure.
Presented by alumnus Henry Gascon, we will discuss what it takes to make ends meet in LA County, engage in a simulated poverty exercise, and explore some of the challenges and opportunities in strengthening the well being of struggling households.
The presentation will take place at 5:30pm on 1150 S. Olive Street, 5th Floor in downtown Los Angeles, a few blocks east of the Pico metro station. Reservation is required.
Following the talk, we will walk to Barcito, a great Argentinian tapas bar, just five minutes from our meeting space at 6:30pm (403 W. 12th St, Los Angeles, CA 90015).
We look forward to seeing you!
