Amy Kenyon's career has spanned sectors from nonprofit to philanthropy to government, and issues including community development, housing, sustainable agriculture, and the environment. Currently she serves as Special Advisor for Implementation with the US Environmental Protection Agency, where she works to support the implementation of the environmental justice provisions of the Inflation Reduction Act. Previously, Amy was a senior program officer in the Ford Foundation’s Just Cities program, where she supported organizing, advocacy, and narrative change efforts to ensure equitable implementation of federal and state housing policy, from disaster recovery to affirmatively furthering fair housing. She spearheaded the development of the New Deal for Housing Justice, a 2020 roadmap for federal action on housing and racial justice, and helped to found several collaborative funds for equitable development, including HouseUS and the Amplify Fund.
In addition to roles in philanthropy and the federal government, Amy has been a consultant, an economic development practitioner, a farmer, and non-profit leader. Throughout her career she has worked to organize resources and people to create more just and equitable built environments.
