Esther Imani Munene, MBA, PhD is an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Health Administration at NYU’s Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service. She has over ten years of experience in diverse healthcare settings in the U.S. and internationally. Her research and teaching centers on Healthcare Policy and Systems, drawing on several health professions and academic disciplines, including epidemiology, biostatistics, health economics, operations research, health informatics, and improvement science. She is particularly interested in examining health policy issues, including healthcare cost, quality, and utilization of health services, and understanding how policy can be leveraged to contain healthcare costs and improve outcomes of treatments. Dr. Munene holds several national and international certifications in healthcare quality improvement & patient safety, including LEAN and Six Sigma.
