Jessica Wertheim is an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Public Service at NYU’s Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service. She currently works at the New York City Department of Education's Division of Early Childhood, focusing on the Universal Pre-K for All initiative and programmatic supports to retain early childhood teachers. She has previously worked as a research assistant and literacy coach for Dr. Susan Neuman's World of Words literacy project and as the special assistant to an Associate Commissioner at Administration of Children's Services (ACS). She began her career as a math teacher and has taught in Madrid and Bilbao, Spain and in Redwood City and San Juan Capistrano, California. Jessica holds a BA from Stanford University and a MA from NYU's Steinhardt School of Education.
