Michael Carbonaro is an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Public Service at NYU’s Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service.

Michael Carbonaro is an attorney admitted to the New York and New Jersey State Bar Associations.  His areas of practice include labor relations, real estate transactions, and civil litigation.   Michael also has over 30 years of experience in law enforcement specializing in internal investigations, human resources, community affairs, and preventive crime strategy.   At the time of his retirement from the New York City Police Department, he held the rank of Captain overseeing the Department’s screening, investigation, and selection process of candidates for the largest law enforcement agency in the country.  

Michael holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the City University of New York, a Juris Doctorate from New York Law School, and a Master of Public Administration from New York University.
