Xiaoyong Yin is a PhD student majoring in urban and rural planning at Tsinghua University, China. His research interest includes urban regeneration, planning governance and complex networks. He is recently trying to combine quantitative complex network methods with traditional qualitative governance structure research, focusing on cooperative network analysis and implementation effect evaluation of urban regeneration in Beijing, China and New York City, the U. S.
Xiaoyong received his bachelor's and master's degrees in urban and rural planning from Tongji University in Shanghai, China, and his double master's degree in architecture from École nationale supérieure d'architecture de Strasbourg (ENSAS), France. He also worked at China Academy of Urban Planning & Design, during which he participated in various planning and design projects in around China at different scales.
Xiaoyong has published more than 10 papers, mainly involving theoretical innovation, policy research and empirical analysis of urban planning. He also co-wrote and published 1 book about Beijing’s urban regeneration.
