Bronx Health REACH

Bronx Health REACH is a coalition of over 40 community-based organizations and partners whose mission is to eliminate ethnic and racial health disparities, specifically in the Southwest Bronx. The Resident was involved in two main initiatives including the faith-based outreach initiative (FBOI) and the nutrition initiative at Bronx Health REACH. The faith-based outreach initiative includes over 15 faith-based organizations. The Resident was responsible for organizing the monthly FBOI meetings, disseminating health information, creating health materials, evaluating programming efforts, and assisting in the creation of programming. As part of the nutrition initiative, the Resident was responsible for assisting in the development of a grocery campaign to increase the availability of healthy foods and the development of a culinary resource guide. The Resident was involved in the policy and coalition committees and assisted in a grant submission for the FBOI for a fitness program.
