Children’s Hospital of New York- Presbyterian

At the Children’s Hospital of New York- Presbyterian (CHONY), the resident had the opportunity to work on various projects that were related to both the financial and operational aspects of the organization. The resident was involved in the Service Excellence Program, an internal initiative that would help CHONY be recognized among the top three children’s hospitals in the nation. Sitting on several top leadership committees, such as CHONY’s Operating Committee, the resident became involved with helping in the opening of the new building, setting up CHONY’s telephone directory, and working on the hospital’s space assessment project. In addition, the resident worked closely with the Ambulatory Care Network’s Chief Medical Officer on finalizing the 2003-04 budget and restructuring the pediatric clinic programs.
