Bellevue Medical Center is developing a Heart Health Service Line that integrates all of its cardiovascular services in order to improve efficiency, communication, and patient service. In order to help Bellevue Operations Team to achieve their vision, the Capstone team defined a set of indicators for quality of care, patient/physician satisfaction, operational effectiveness, and financial improvement in both the Invasive and Non-Invasive Cardiology departments. Following the identification of the indicators, the Capstone team recommended a comprehensive set of management reports to enable the continual review of such indicators. The Capstone team expects that the management reports will give the Operations Team at Bellevue the required information to uncover opportunities for success, monitor performance, and to implement operational change if necessary to become a premier cardiovascular organization in New York City.
